About Us

Some of you might ask the question, "I thought National Police Cadet Corps is for Secondary Schools? How come NUS also has a unit? And what you do as an Honorary Officer in NPCC? "

The answer is: In Secondary Schools, secondary students join the Corps as cadets, undergoing basic training like foot-drill, campcraft, revolver shooting, adventure camp, etc. These are aimed to improve their confidence, leadership capabilites and expose them to life outside classroom.

In JC or Polytechnics, proved cadet leaders join back the Corps as Cadet Inspectors (CIs), assisting school units in the training of the cadets. They are the heartbeat of an unit and a highly motivated batch of leaders.

And finally in the University, we join the Corps as Honorary Officers! We assist OCs and teacher officers of school units in the running of their units, playing the role of an officer, guiding the Cadet Inspectors and cadets, planning and organizing activities, etc.

"So what do we do back in NUS?" We will be involved in projects like fund raising, community work, planning of training programs, administration, sports day, etc to harness our leadership skills and organizational abilities.

Why wait? Be part of the exciting Corps now.
